Studio A houses an SSL 6000E series console with G series automation. A Digidesign Pro Tools HD3 Accel DAW and Otari MX80 2" Analog Tape are switchable for recording convenience. This high-end music recording facility is utlilized for the following advanced courses: AMT280: Advanced Recording, AMT305: Advanced Mixing Techniques and AMT370: Advanced Studio Production. A large live performance space and two isolation booths allow for flexible recording applications. Technical concepts include inline recording, console automation, synchronization , advanced microphone techniques, and analog and DAW multitrack recording concepts.
